A sales funnel is a set of pages designed to lead people from one point to another. Ideally, it will guide people towards becoming your customers. But, if your funnel is "leaking," it means that more people are dropping out of the process than making it to the end. If you can find out where your funnel is leaking, you can fix it. Website Funnelization: Guiding Visitors to Becoming Customers is a tool that allows you to visualize your funnel and identify what's stopping potential clients from making it to the bottom of your funnel and becoming customers.
Your website is the center of your online presence. It is a digital storefront that contains information about your company, products, and services. It is also an opportunity to connect with your audience through targeted calls-to-action that are the first step of your sales funnels.
Many companies build their websites and sales funnels on third-party platforms. This is often a great idea because it saves you time and money. However, it can seriously limit the effectiveness of your sales funnel. This is because the third-party platform's templates often don't allow for much customization to make your website look and feel like your brand. This can seriously hinder the performance of your sales funnel and cause you to lose leads because of a lack of consistency with your online branding.
When you build your website and sales funnels on a third-party platform, you also run the risk of losing control of those tools in the future. Many third-party platforms will change their features or discontinue them altogether. If this happens, it could mean the loss of all your hard work in building your sales funnel. Additionally, if you are using a third-party platform for your funnels, it will be difficult to get the data from those tools that you need to optimize your marketing efforts.
This is why it's so important to make sure that your website and sales funnels are working together. If you have a strong, well-optimized website that is designed to help your visitors learn about your business and how it can benefit them, it's easy to add a call-to-action that invites them to connect with you on a specific page of your sales funnel.
For example, if you are a realtor, you can have a website page that invites people to contact you for a consultation by calling or texting your business number. This is the first step of your consultation call funnel. Similarly, you can have a page on your site that asks people to subscribe to a newsletter to get weekly updates from your business. This is the first step of your newsletter funnel.
Once your funnels have converted a significant amount of visitors, it's important to measure the performance of those funnels. This will help you determine what changes you need to make in order to convert more of your visitors into customers. Additionally, it will also give you insight into what your current customer retention strategy needs to be. For example, if you are seeing a lot of customers drop out of your sales funnel, it's time to come up with a new retention strategy.
